Somer trusted Christ as her savior when she (at her bed side)
was twevle years old, as a result of a revival at First Baptist Church Colbert Heights Tuscumbia, AL ,and gave herself fully to His ways.
She had a real change in attitude from self centered to
Christ centered, and became a leader among her peers.
When "true love waits" became popular she embraced
its principles openly and boldly.

Somer was a soul winner, wise and bold.
Prov. 11:30 says ..."he that wins souls is wise."
Prov. 28:1 says ..."the righteous are bold."

Somer felt "called" by God to teach His children.
she studied the Bible daily preparing to "teach",
and influenced everyone she came in contact with.

Somer had a  Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade IV brain tumor (GBM),
the most aggressive form of primary brain tumors. She had five
brain surgeries and thirty-three radiation treatments,
and survived three years and four months.   

Somer accomplished more in twenty-three years than most
will in a "full" lifetime, and if she were here today would ask
each us us about our relationship  with Jesus Christ .
